We all know roughly what players we are after but the bottom line is we

did not sign any of them.

A premier league club was unable to sign any defenders in the entire summer transfer window other than Andrew Wisdom on loan when everyone knew that was the main area we needed to strengthen.

Whichever way you dress that up and however many Serie A stars turned us down on the last day of the window they did not sign the players we needed and Neil has subsequently admitted that we struggled because we had no recruitment team so if you want take it from me than take the word of our manager.
