He'd never had a bad spell as a manager before.

For me he fails the test. He lost his nerve and started making defensive selections and tinkering.

Like with hughton it was obvious he didn't believe we were good enough and that gets to the players.

He was probably right but the players lambert had were nowhere near good enough and we stayed up. I'm sure that's why he chose to leave when he did too btw.
