Just finished watching a replay of the game and read the board comments
I agree that today was a really weak performance, considering the opposition and the importance of the game. It looked like we could still be playing now and not come close to scoring a goal. We had the mandatory f*ck up which was punished, like they always are in the prem. It was pretty much a good representation of the whole season.
Thinking about next season, I don't think we should make any significant changes in the management team. AN has PROVEN he can get this team promoted - that is incredibly valuable. After what has happened with Burnley this season, and following the promotion last year, I think most people would think we were crazy if we didn't give him a serious go next year. If we are out of the top 6 at Christmas, then reassess.
I think we all agree the summer recruitment was awful and is the main reason we are going down. This has been addressed by the recruitment of a new scouting team.
I think we have also been unlikely with injuries at exactly the worst time in the season. Losing Klose was probably the reason we have lost the last few games - he was that influential throughout the whole team not just the defence.
Bottom line, give AN the chance to get us back up next season and see where we are at Christmas.
