Bassong _may_ be able to do a job in the Championship, but whenever he plays the entire team looks less confident and the shape suffers. He directly affects the back four, plus keeper, and his distribution is not even up to Championship standard.
His positioning is terrible and it's no coincidence that Bennett, Olsson and Wisdom look so much better playing alongside Klose.

I'd be much happier letting Bassong leave on a free and bringing a young, hungry defender in plus an 'old head' as cover. We do not need Bassong with his terrible attitude and mistake per game
