Teach as a theory and make sure people are aware that it is being taught as such, and welcome, encourage them to make up their own minds.

I do not like schoolchildren and those of an impressionable age (heaven help me, now don't I sound the old fart?) being TOLD things where there is a possibility that they can make up their own minds judged upon personal experience-much rather they are given information and encouraged to go from there.
