Yeah you probably are! Good example is....

...that I coach and have coached at youth level in the UK and at Division 3, 2 and 1 (highest) amateur levels in Holland, have also coached the Dutch national team for 2 years and spent many "camps" coaching with NFL and NFL Europe coaches in Holland, Spain and Denmark.

But Mrs. In Holland still comes up with gems like yesterday: "x played well today". Actually, x made loads of athletic dives, perfect for the telly, just missing the ball / player and giving up 21 points of our 30-0 defeat to Amsterdam Crusaders!

But I think American Football is totally different. I think you hit the nail on the head when talking about the rigid systems the US play in football taking away the creativity. US football, for example, isn't much about individual creativity but much more about tactics and preparing gameplans. On the field you expect your players to do exactly what the play says, not be creative (cos then the play is killed because the other 10 don't know what to do).

So yes, catching passes is critical. Yesterday one of my players dropped two touchdown passes :-(
