In our Prem season, I think the board were just as defeatist as Worthy.

Watch the Delia interview after the Man Utd game, where she goes "It's just amazing, they had Rooney and van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo ..." - you'd think we'd won a competition to play against Man Utd or something*, when we'd just played them off the park.

Then there was all the talk about the "Charlton model" - i.e. we're not really going to try not to get relegated, save for one (actually relatively low-risk, IMO) big money signing and bringing in one big-name player on a free.

* In a way, we did win a competition to play against Man Utd, but I couldn't think of a better phrase.
