He was a good manager
as his record suggests. Look what happened to Charlton after he left, for example. WHU were very solid under his guidance as well, after he saved them from their disastrous start to the 06/07 season. It's weird how he has turned into some type of meme and joke figure over time.
I think he hasn't recieved another managerial job as he seems to have been left behind by the game due to taking a long vacancy after leaving WHU. He also had a spell as DOF at Fulham, so maybe he's not keen on being a manager again after being burnt out at WHU, where players were sold without his agreement.
