Last night we were undone by three things

Appalling defending for the first goal
Sh*t officiating - again
Wasteful finishing, especially from Jerome - again

The second of these was/is beyond our control. The other two have hampered us all season and still come back (mainly although with the defending not entirely) to the utter failure in the summer transfer window to add real quality in the key areas that were obvious. If we go down again then one has to question the point of ever coming back up with the current board in place because they do not learn and splashing ?20m in January on new players who have to come into a struggling side and have not got enough time to bed in does not excuse that earlier failing.

We are playing quite well. It's not beyond us to have a Leicester type run over the next 6 weeks or so and still stay up but I really feel it's a shame we did not give ourselves the best opportunity of staying in this league. One clinical finisher instead of Jerome and we would almost certainly have an extra half a dozen points.
