Confidence and self-belief is fine - obvious contempt for your team-mates isn't.

That interview in The Guardian last season still makes me angry. He turned up having achieved absolutely nothing - one goal in the League Cup - and actually said "If Norwich stay up, then a lot of that will probably be down to me".

Despite having joined a club that had just won the First Division by a mile, with a club-record points total, with a player in the England squad (Green) and numerous full internationals (Jonson, Helveg, Svensson, Holt, Safri, Mulryne, McVeigh, Brennan, Gallacher, Ward), he was quite happy to suggest that he would - and would HAVE to - carry the team.

I'd be prepared to forgive it if he was head and shoulders above everyone else (as Bellamy was in the late 90s, which was why I grudgingly forgave his FourFourTwo article), but he had one exceptional game (Bolton) and provided one good cross (Man Utd) - the rest of the time he did nothing.

And his performance at Fulham was absolutely unbelievably - considerably worse than Francis, who took all the flack. I'd never have him back and all I can wish him is the most spectacular form of failure.
