In fairness to the Derby board
Clement has spent a fortune for that level, most of it on very average players. Bigger net spend than Norwich this season.
Derby fans have also been complaining about some really odd selection issues and tactical mistakes for a few months now. One example being where he persisted with BJ in CM rather than LM. His poor passing and inability to control a game has been exposed.
They seem to have gambled on promotion THIS season in order to secure the ridiculous prem money for next season, so I can kind of understand why they've sacked him. Daft of them not to bring a quality proven manager for that level in the first place though.
