There are very few established Premier League clubs. I think there'll be even fewer once the new tv deal kicks in, perversely, as the clubs like Everton, Stoke etc will lose the advantages they had of having built up their teams and war chests over successive seasons. It'll all level out and be more competitive.
Success for any middling club will be fleeting and will depend on assembling the right squad of players for the right manager, and that success will last for as long as those players and that manager stay together.
eg. I'll bet Leicester taste Championship football again within 5 seasons. Maybe less.
