Mine...
1 how has he done:
Better than people give him credit for, his competative record is pretty impressive, though we have choked in the big games (France, Brazil etc) though i guess you could argue it was down to individual errors (Gerrard/James France, Seaman Brazil) rather than lack of preparation. His off the field antics havn't helped, especially the latest revelations, though i personally feel if this latest scandle bites us in the ass during the World Cup, the NOTW will be as much to blame as Sven. I personally feel if Sven showed more passion on the touch line and motivation, the nation would be more behind him, but then again, no matter what anyone says, he is still a successful manager, and maybe taking away his laid back temprament, would be taking away one of the qualities thats made him a world class manager
2 who replaces him: Fcuk knowes. I don't care if they are green with blue spots, as long as they are could enough, and have a fire in their belly for the job. Its a shame Pearce hasn't got more experience, because no matter what you think about the person, you no he would bust a nut for us to win any game we compete in.
Another guy i would consider would be O'Neill, i think he has the same sort of qualities as Pearce, just more experienced/proven, the only issue with him would be his wife, and maybe his patriotism for Ireland. But whatever the outcome PLEASE not Macclaren (sp?) or Curbishley. Big Sam should come under consideration, though my only question over him would be his style of football, he has set his Bolton team up to be solid and physical, and im not sure how he would cope with going from a defensive set up to a set up where in 98% of games we play, England supporters would expect the team to be dominating possession and be on the attack for the majority
3 should he have gone sooner: Yeah probably, i just dont see how giving him a stay of execution until after the World Cup is going to benifit anyone apart from the snipers. If he didn't have a passion and fire in his belly to win the WC before, he sure as f**k aint going to now, knowing that no matter what happens, he will be leaving with a big fat cheque in his pocket
