If the high pressing doesn't work then he's pretty much clueless how to break down opposition sides. That's why it went spectacularly tits up for him at Dortmund last season. Teams figured them out.

Staying compact and deep pretty much eliminates the gegenpress, even more so with direct play, barring ridiculous unforced errors.
