I dont agree.....but......

It doesn't mean they are right all the time.

The odds move because money is coming in on someone.
Clearly those people believe they have inside info.
Sometimes they get wind of a player having talks but often those talks break down and you never hear about it.

These markets are often called derivatives, meaning limits are small because they can be easily manipulated.

In larger markets the odds mean a LOT.
In smaller markets they mean less but are certainly not meaningless.
