Cunning new formation
As you'll have seen on Saturday I'm now experimenting with a new formation.
I have been unfairly criticised for not finding a reasonably priced, reasonably competent right winger. My experiment with a "spin the bottle" strategy for deciding who would occupy this vital berth gave, frankly, mixed results, and I'm quite prepared to admit that.
So, what happens now is that all the players line up on the LEFT HAND SIDE ONLY of the pitch. This strategey could be seen in action a number of times when Robert Green prepared to kick out on Saturday.
It's this kind of vision, coupled with my strokes of genius in midfield (if the ball remains at least 14 feet above ground in the middle third of the pitch you can actually do without any creativity at all - no matter what the so-called "received wisdom" says, more like deceived wisdom if you ask me), that will propel us to our natural resting place at the end of the season.
Mark my words!
