although they all managed to s**t me up to some extent, the robotics and technology was the worst.

He reckoned that we'd have created minds millions of times more intelligent than ours with 40-50 years - indirectly by creating minds to design new more intelligent minds, and that there was little or no chance of being able to control them by then.

Also inevitable due to evolution and development of military hardware he reckoned.
