agreed. You could forgive him a few errors more easily

if he contributed more to the attack and just got caught out even now and again taking a risk to try to create goal.

But his role in the team is entirely defensive. Yet we've kept hardly any clean sheets and he's been directly responsible for several goals. He should definitely be under scrutiny.
