Doncaster on contracts -WW2
"Q: I appreciate that information on individual player contracts is strictly confidential, but in general, do any of our players have clauses their contract stating that if a bid is made for a certain amount then Norwich City cannot turn down that particular bid? G Johnson
A: The short answer is 'yes'.
However, the sort of clauses which reportedly enabled players Paul Dickov and Riccardo Scimeca to leave Leicester for bids of around ?100,000 do not apply to any of our better, younger and more valuable players. The only circumstances in which we would consider such a clause are where we are dealing with players who join us on a free transfer or for relatively small transfer fees, or where there is another pressing and commercial reason why we would make such a concession".
So who can that mean? Helveg? Who else?
