But it's about teaching the next generation to actually engage with people you disagree with rather than summarily dismissing them. The act of debate and expressing disagreement trumps the subject matter. This kind of walkout promulgates the idea that university students should all think the same way, and while it's easy to say when talking about Hopkin's barely concealed racism, there's a whole range of issues that students should be encouraged to disagree on.
