We had a real bomb threat when I was at school
A pupil made some explosives and left them in the chemistry labs over the summer holidays, when they became unstable. (Pupil wasn't stable either!)
On the first day back, we were evacuated. The fire engines roared up to the school, but couldn't get through the gates!!!
I think that the explosives were detonated on the playing fields. c1968
The gates were also widened!
