O Neil has jumped ahead because Dorrans was very poor at Newcastle

and O Neil played very well in the subsequent games at Everscum and Man City.
What with our new defensiveness, O Neil fits in a lot better than Dorrans, who isn't very effective defensively nor is he particularly attacking imo. Your classic CM I suppose or deepish playmaker as you say,
