But I'm presenting the only direct information from one of the people involved. Find me a quote - any quote - from ANY of the parties involved indicating that this so-called deal actually exists. Dean Ashton, his agent, Alan Pardew, Terrence Brown, Nigel Worthington, Neil Doncaster, Roger Munby, Delia Smith, Barry Skipper...

The newspaper articles don't give any relevant quotes. They don't name any sources. They don't even claim "Sources close to..". The only thing they have is a warmed-over week old quote from Pardew about how he'd like a better aerial presence which they've built a house on.

I'm not saying they are wrong, or more accurately that they will be wrong, but so far they have presented no evidence at all.
