My first game of the season on Saturday
And contrary to some comment, I thought it was more frustrating than bad.
1. The margins are very fine. We could have scored a couple in the first 30 minutes and not been flattered by the scoreline. We made chances but didn't take them. Some fans seem to be incapable of judging a match in the round rather than reacting to the final score - whether good or bad.
2. I think Mbokani is working out how to play with the team and vice versa. Don't forget how few games he's played in the last 6 months let alone with us). Jarvis got cross after cross into the box but .... nobody was there.
3. See 2 - if Big Iwan had been playing we'd have scored a hatful.
4. See 2 - Jarvis was excellent.
5. All this bollocks about "plan B" on the radio - "plan A" was fine except for nobody actually sticking the thing in the net at the end of our attacks.
6. Wring out you mattresses. We've played 10 games. There's a long long way to go, and the way we play, we will win away matches which nobody thought we'd win.
7. Mulumbu will make a big difference. (I hope.)
8.
