Do you really think a Dutch international is going to turn down the chance to work with one of the Netherland's greatest ever defenders coupled with the fact that he knows by joining Saints he was unlikely to be in a relegation battle and can probably earn a lot more than he can here. Also look at the career progression Saints have offered their players over the last 2-4 years...
