It's a perfect excuse

If players won't come, we can't afford them, or their club won't sell them...

I think this past transfer window was quite lean in general unless you had megabucks or bought turd. If we'd have gone for people like Dawson (suggested yesterday) we'd have moaned about lack of ambition.

My of opinion is that the players we have need to start doing the basics right. Martin, Bassong, Whittakers can all play football every so often. They need to do it more consistently. Maybe not pay them if they get below a 6 from football metacritics. Jokez.
