I think our game plan fell a bit between two stools

we had Mbokani on for crosses, but then Hoolahan to try to pass through them - but we didn't really have the support or conviction to do either tactic well in the end.

Would have probably been better to have gone all out for one of them, then switch fully to plan B if that didn't work. Start two up front if we wanted to put in crosses or play Wes with Dorrans, Howson, Brady in advanced positions if we were trying to pass through them.
