Preseason, I thought we'd pick up surprise away wins but struggle at home
There were hints of that in the second half of last season, and it's playing out that way I think. We're quite stereotyped and easy to pick off at CR; even a bit naive at times. But we're also redoubtable on our travels. Surprise results will keep coming along.
All the sides below us except one are pants. Only Watford are a side above us who we could end up ahead of (swap them with Stoke in terms of realistic targets). Two of the bottom three are in absolute crisis; the other have been a shambles for years; Bournemouth have fewer resources than we do; West Brom are just crap.
It'll be a struggle because we did so little strengthening. Deep midwinter, we'll probably have a serious slump. But we'll be OK. This side isn't relegation material; this manager certainly isn't.
Chin up and OTBC
