Its around 1969. Brancaster Primary school. A little before 9am. Icy playground.
Yours truly runs to go in, falls over on the ice. Knocks himself out. Wakes up, maybe 2, 2 and a bit hours later at his desk.
Brought in and just 'sat' at my desk, head resting on it till I came round. No ambulance, no doctor, parents not told...infact the first my Mum heard of it was when I mentioned it in conversation a few years ago!
Seems kids really were just expected to get over their bumps, bruises and being knocked out then!
I was diagnosed with Epilepsy when I was 17. Might be totally unrelated to my fall of course, but makes me wonder now.
Hope she's OK and this gets sorted. As others have said, ambulance first and foremost in such cases.
