All I was saying that as you will see by my username don't be fooled by the media spin re: Ashton and NCFC's money.

Lets not give the media any ammunition from these boards to concoct stories, which they do?

Hendrikus in my eyes had some very plausible snippets of information, OK the Darren Bent signing didn't happen but he may have been one player that NCFC were watching.

This information is true though, Darren Bent only had three clubs interested in him that made solid bids! this was straight from David Sheepshanks mouth at an after dinner speech I kid you not.

1 bid of 1 mill
1 bid of 1.5 mill
1 bid of 2 mill (which was then upped to 2.5 not 3 mill as reported in the media)

I'm not an Ipswich fan either before i'm accused by someone on this board.

Lets just wait and see what happens in I imagine the next 48 hours regarding player movements and money.
