wouldn't be so sure

a populist anti-austerity message is going to win them back a lot of council seats, and they can re-build from there. strip back a lot of his more barmy foreign policy views and there's quite a lot of core beliefs that will resonate with a lot of the public. don't underestimate the appeal of promising the world to those that don't have to pay for it.

he's very unlikely to win a GE but I think they can build enough of a platform for someone sensible and more centrist to do so. wouldn't be surprised to see him step aside in a couple of years.

problem labor now has is that a lot of its talent (such that it is) is in hiding and too afraid to be associated with Corbyn. that's what will do them the most long term damage.
