Well, I want to know the circumstances of his departure
He's gone, SAN/McNally/whoever sanctioned the move, fair enough. But was he keen to go, or was he basically told he was surplus to requirements/being sold. If it was the latter, and he wasn't happy, then what effect will that have on the squad (given he was a big member of the team, a senior pro, ran through walls for the side last year etc).
I have a hunch it may have been the latter, then this could be similar to Worthy sacking off Malky and Iwan when we got promoted? and we know how that ended.
I guess we'll see. Personally I would have said that Johnno could still have played a role, even as back up, but the manager/club obviously saw it differently. That's what they're paid to do, so fair enough. Whether it's a good or bad decision, we'll find out over the course of the next 9 months
