What an utterly s**te transfer window

At present we have 4 strikers... One who doesn't want to be here, one who had already a loan move called off because the other's tantrum caused it to be cancelled..

Depending in how next half hour pans out,if we don't get gayle (let's be honest, we don't do big deals last minute) then hopper presumably will have to stay too... That leaves us two decent options and two pissed off strikers..

On top of that we still need some cover on the wings and a centre back....presumably we can still loan after the deadline, but it's been thoroughly disappointing from start to finish.

Also don't think I can ever remember us having so many unsuccessful bids for so many players. How many have we bid for (based on rumour, so accept not necessarily accurate)? 10/15/20? We had so much momentum again last season after a couple of seasons where it felt like relegation was inevitable under hughton. We've for the positivity back, but some of our transfer dealings this window have been embarrassing to say the least.

If we sign gayle in next 30mins then please feel free to hammer this post with booms!
