The cyclist surely escalated things by being so aggressive from the very beginning. I find that if I ever need to Have Words with a driver - which I do very rarely - it's much better to do so ultra-politely and calmly. Reduces the rsk you just have a shouting match (or worse) - and I think makes them more likely to question whether they might have been in the wrong.

Ending of that film was good though...
