But if Man City have already bid ?7.75m it's not too inconceivable that they'd stretch to ?8.5m.
The sell-on clause shouldn't be too much of an issue as I don't see Deano being sold for much more than what we're asking in the future, unless he really breaks through into the England Squad at some point.
