Is the 'footballing board' doomed to failure!?

No one appears to be leading coherent player recruitment strategy. I know DMcN has always tried to keep a closed shop but far too many stories have been leaked.

I think that it was telling that Alex Neil suggested Brady deal was done. It was either inexperience or a way to force our boards hand out of frustration.

We clearly having to offload players which hasn't happened either. Are we trying to balance books before recruiting?

Starting season without a back up LB when your first choice has missed all pre season, limited options on the wing, a CB partnership that failed in the Prem isn't good.

Before I get we are doomed posts I'm just saying a lack of focus and direction on recruitment is putting us very much on the back foot.
