I was in the Fringe once
Looking back I just cringe at the "quality" of the "shows" we put on. We did alternating nights: an adaptation of Dubliners, and a s**t comedy. We did OK, in the sense that most acts (back then at least) lose money and we made money, albeit ?4 for 15 peoples' effort over 6 weeks (three weeks' prep, three weeks' execution).
Still one of my favourite ever summers though - loved every part of the experience.
