Confession

My late-teen daughter is currently doing an NCS course: 60 "young people" split into five teams of twelve each of which gets training and practice in a "skill", one of which (not the one my daughter did) was "enterprise".

Obviously I was hoping for some top trekkage, but actually it's about bidness'n's**t. Who knew?

Anyhoo, a third of the Enterprise team - all girls - stood up and said they'd focused on branding for their group and after much discussion had decided to call it "Team Beaver" due to the perception that these critters have an industrious nature. They had a logo which was a cartoon animal. "Who could resist one of our little beavers", they said. Me, another Dad, and one of the Mums caught each others' eyes and all three of us had tears of thankfully silent laughter still coming out of our eyes some five minutes later.

I feel like a very, very bad man.
