never too bothered by all the hype - how often do teams get all the players the media say they are after? I'm not bothered about busting a gut to go and get Brady at any cost - there must be other options, rather than be held to ransom by Hull. If he is our only option, that is bad planning, which I doubt is how we have done business.

I'd much prefer the window was aligned to the season, rather than us still doing business three or four games in, but it is inevitable that we will still be doing some work later than other teams, given we started later than everyone else given the play-offs.

Reading this board the last couple of weeks has certainly been a big come down from the Wembley highs of just a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure that moaning about a job halfway through the window isn't going to have any impact on the result at the end of the window.

I, for one, am happy to judge the window from September 2nd and happy to judge the squad once the season gets fully underway. Not but a few weeks ago people were saying the team that went up could finish mid table, comfortably - where has all that confidence gone?

It's the media's job to get people interested and worked up - it's clearly working in some cases. I couldn't give a f**k if we get Brady or not - if AN wants him, fine, but I'm sure he has other Aces in his hand if he needs to play them in the coming days/weeks
