for the 2 years prior to this MOT we've had an advisory note that the brake pads are wearing out, so this year when we booked it in we asked them to change them, they had another look at them this year, looked at the low amount of mileage we've been doing and suggested there was no point in changing them as they've got another year's worth of low mileage in them - that's even though they had to put an advisory note on the MOT for the 3rd year in a row.
