If ever a tactic proved counter productive it was asking them to produce a pitch like that which negated our own bowlers main strengths. Made the toss absolutely crucial and once we lost it all its done is provide every department of their side with a huge confidence boost (by giving their batsmen a nice surface to bat on and then their bowlers the freedom to attack with us under pressure) and expose frailties in ours. You feel the momentum with them now. First day and toss at Edgbaston are absolutely huge for this series.
