ActiveX is an MS thing for writing controls

- the web page has a sort of video player control - much like QuickTime or WMP when it plays in the page. Don't know why they didn't just use that ...

Would have thought IE would have ActiveX support built-in unless you're using a very old version.

The Schubert ones are good too. Just playing a sample direct from the browser rather than downloading all at once.
