I don't think there is any bed wetting but I think there is a degree of

concern (I know, I know twas ever thus) that putting in rather derogatory low bids (and lets be honest ?3m is low IF there is any truth in that figure) for players can be counter productive if you really want to sign that player (and 3 bids (again IF true) would suggest that we do.

He's not that crucial a signing for us so i'm not that bothered about it and who knows this may all be his agent using us but (without advocating offering silly money) I would prefer us to just put in a sensible offer and bag the players we want rather than risk losing out by playing too much hard ball.
