Hmm. Bit of an attempted double bluff or playing it safe to try and stop their bowlers getting up a head of steam early in the series?
If true then sounds like win the toss and bat and hope to lay down a marker with a big first innings score?
I obviously don;t want us to lose this Ashes series but I hope we don't turn out a succession of flat pitches where its impossible for the bowlers to take 20 wickets.
