Friend of mine flies frequently to Friedrikshafen which isn't too far

it's a couple of hours drive and there are trains to Munich etc.
it's a very quiet airport and he usually pays a pittance to go on budget lines. Last time I went with him the flights were free and we paid about 10 quid each tax! Worth a look
