Now, whether eating a banana near a hive is going to get you mobbed, I can't say for sure, but the alarm pheromone that bees give off does smell like bananas, and once its on on you they'll chase you incessantly - so you either need some smoke to calm them down or be in a bee suit and weather the storm until they decide you're no longer a threat.
So all in all I wouldn't risk eating bananas near a hive.
Nor eating green bananas - they ming!
