in 2013 the average EPL salary was 31k a week.
Since then the TV money has increased again (significantly).
I'd be surprised if the average was not now around the 40k mark.
Taking that into account, plus the fact any centre forward we would likely sign would probably be a "marquee" signing and I dont think 50k a week is even close to being unreasonable unfortunately.
I know we pride ourself on being sensible with our wage structure but without paying top dollar we will lose targets to clubs of a similar stature frequently.
