Well....
The gov't (tax payers) subsidise private schools and there are tax loopholes used to help private schools and parents to dodge paying tax.
NHS spends money training staff who then go to work for private health companies etc.
NHS spends money bidding against private health companies to provide NHS services. NHS also gets some money depending upon how many people treated etc. Closures can happen if numbers drop by a little and then a huge number of people lose their local NHS services etc.
