they've been revising the rules a bit

regarding the sort of bikes used etc so a lot of the old records have been wiped out and its been almost a fresh start, with some renewed interest

it's not something you do casually,and probably not something you want to try publically unless you have a decent chance. but there's been a few goes in the last year or so and its changed hands a few times. but wiggins is the only absolute top rank time triallist to have a pop so far i think. and he has a lot of track experience too. if he sets a good distance as expected i guess there's probably only a very small handful who might take it on for a bit (if they can fit it into their schedule)
