We spent a small fortune in the cheddar cheese company - bought loads hoom (amd a large jar of cheddar made pickle)....also went on a cheese tasting spree - chilli flavoured, garlic/herb, port flavoured, vintage and cave cooled....
Yes went amd visited what used to be RAF Locking next to Banwell (drove down the 371 past Bamwell Castle to get there....) - i spent around 6 years on/off at RAF Locking.... Mixed emotions driving round - the old guard hut is still there but bordered up, the old training hangars and H block accomos gone - a new housing estate woth posh 3/4 bed houses are up where my accom amd airmams mess used to be....
airmans married quarters still the same tho sold off same as officers married quarters....
Lovely evening in WSM, massive these days but some of the buildings/places still the same.... Real trip down memory lane!
